Quality Enterprises is looking for an Assistant Estimator to join our team. Under the oversight of an estimator, the primary responsibility of the Assistant Estimator is to analyze and interpret project information in the assembly of budgets, bids, and proposals.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits.
- Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects.
- Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers.
- Provide accurate takeoff information with a detailed list of materials and total construction costs.
- Solicit subcontractor, vendor, and equipment supplier information and pricing.
- Review and estimate change orders and other cost impacts.
- Follow up with clients on submitted proposals and budgets.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of estimating experience or a bachelor's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction-related field preferred.
- Knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge of estimating software, such as HCSS, Bid2Win, or similar.
- Proficiency in O365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with utilities, storm piping, and FDOT specifications preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision to complete assigned tasks.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on quality and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Thorough understanding of mathematical computations, percentages, and geometry.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Requires sitting for extended periods while using a computer keyboard and mouse, intermittent standing and walking.
- Minimal lifting or physical exertion required.
