We are looking for a skilled mortgage loan officer assistant to join our top-producing team and assist our mortgage loan origination officers. This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage loan files from beginning to end. Compensation:$54,000 - $62,400 yearly
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
- Assist borrowers with loan applications and document collection.
- Verify income, assets, credit reports, tax returns, and employment records.
- Input and update loan details in loan origination software ( Encompass ).
- Communicate with borrowers, realtors, underwriters, and processors to ensure a smooth loan process.
- Run Automated Underwriting System (AUS) reports (DU/LP).
- Order third-party services (appraisals, title work, VOEs, homeowners insurance, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
- Track loan progress and assist in clearing conditions.
- Coordinate loan closings and ensure all necessary disclosures are completed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in mortgage lending (loan processing, underwriting, or loan assistance).
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, ability to multitask.
- Technology: Proficient in loan origination software (Encompass).
- Knowledge: Understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo loan programs and Non-QM Loans.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, able to work under deadlines, and customer-focused.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in finance or banking preferred
- Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and willing to go above and beyond for customers and team
- 2-3 years of professional office environment and administration or mortgage experience preferred
- Computer proficiency required including MS Office; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
