Job Description: We are seeking a Business Analyst with 10 years of experience to join our team and support our trading operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of trading systems and processes with specific expertise in backoffice operations , including market risk, credit risk, accounting, invoicing, and settlements . This role will be pivotal in identifying tools, analyzing data flows, and streamlining processes to ensure operational efficiency. This role provides support to the Business Lead in analyzing, documenting and designing business processes and tools for a new ETRM tool implementation, and working closely with Middle office and Back office business stakeholders and IT developers. The candidate will help implement a new post-trade framework (Market Risk, P&L, Credit Risk, Accounting, Invoicing) while using existing modules. The candidate will possess a strong experience in the various fields. Expertise in electronic trading information systems would be a real plus. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and document existing backoffice trading processes , tools, and workflows. Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to gather requirements and define solutions. Identify appropriate tools and systems to improve trading operations, data management, and reporting. Develop diagrams, process flows, and data flow models to visualize and optimize operations. Quickly analyze data sets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement. Capture detailed notes during meetings and translate them into actionable insights. Partner with IT and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of tools and systems. Support testing, validation, and implementation of new processes or software solutions. Requirements: 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst , preferably in the trading industry . Strong knowledge of trading backoffice operations such as market risk, credit risk, accounting, invoicing, and settlements . Hands-on experience with process modeling tools and diagramming software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart). Ability to quickly analyze data , create insights, and make recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for capturing and translating business requirements. Proficiency in tools for data visualization and reporting . Familiarity with power trading markets and their operations is highly preferred. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with trading platforms and software is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with energy trading and risk management (ETRM) systems . Background in power trading and associated regulatory requirements. Knowledge of SQL , Excel , or other data analysis tools. Proven track record of improving processes and delivering solutions for trading operations.
