Job Title: Application Support Analyst Location: Tampa, FL (2 days onsite - Hybrid) Duration: 09 months contract with extension for longer term We are seeking a seasoned Application Support Analyst with extensive experience in Unix, SQL, and any ETL tool (e.g., Ab Initio). This individual should demonstrate the ability to work independently, self-learn when necessary, and excel in optimizing SQL queries, performance tuning, and database structure management. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can support daily production processes and ensure quick resolutions to business-critical issues. Key Responsibilities: Lead critical operational support services and ensure performance and risk indicators are met. Monitor and optimize production processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive efficiency initiatives. Analyze and resolve failed production batches promptly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional support teams and vendors to ensure seamless customer experience. Develop and monitor performance measurements and communicate findings to stakeholders and senior management. Provide hands-on expertise in Unix shell scripting, SQL query optimization, and ETL tool support. Conduct database-level analysis to trace and resolve issues. Take ownership of end-to-end production batch processes and ensure compliance with best practices. Document resolutions and create detailed monthly issue reports. Required Skills & Expertise: Technical Skills: 5 years of production support experience. Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Sybase) with expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries. Strong knowledge of Unix commands, scripting, and file management. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Ab Initio or equivalent). Knowledge of scheduling tools and distributed systems. Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and decision-making abilities. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight SLAs. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputed institution. Experience with Ab Initio development, including EME, migration processes, and branching, is a plus. Hands-on knowledge of shell scripting and automation tools is desirable. Job Context: This position reports to the Application Support Manager and is critical for supporting production systems. The role involves interacting with finance customers and support teams globally to ensure production issues are resolved efficiently and communicated effectively.
