Role: Software Test Engineer Client: Government Duration: 6mo contract Location: Hybrid in North Charleston Qualifications: Education & Training Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems) Agile Developer Certification Certified Scrum Developer Certification CompTIA Security Plus Certification Clearance: Active Top-Secret SCI Clerance Travel: 25% with valid passport Experience: Three (3) years with degree, practical application, and experience Skills: Understanding of all functions and capabilities of the USMC Radio Family of Systems (FoS) Suite (AN/PRC-117G/158/163/167, ARC-210, and MRC/VRC variant components) Versed in all waveforms utilized by the USMC Radios FoS Suite (MUOS, VULOS, ANW2C, HF, SATURN, and SINCGARS). Basic understanding of PowerShell, C++, JAVA, CSS, HTML, and BAT FILE construction, deployment, and functions or any equivalent radio programming/software development tools. Experience with system administration in Windows and Linux environments Experience with the installation, operations/functions, and troubleshooting radio communications software (CPA, JENM, ATOM, SPEED, ACES/JACS, etc.). Possess an intermediate level of knowledge/understanding of deploying, modifying, and operating computer images, software, and applications with the ability to identify, log, and troubleshoot deficiencies, as needed. Experience with script management, development, and installation. Background in software and script installation guide development. The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced and mission-focused environment on a day-to-day basis. Understand basic project management principles, including Agile methodologies, Scrum, or Kanban, to effectively participate in or lead project planning, execution, and completion. Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide problem resolution i.e. balancing customer requirements with software development compliance. Assist the Waveforms Project Officer with software development processes across the Ground Radios Project to include implementing threat mitigation practices, interacting with vendors, and completing tasks, as needed. Assist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide software solutions and its capabilities to support the customer’s mission goals and objectives. Provide detailed analysis of radio/software systems data reports to identify capability gaps, vulnerabilities, and identify effective solutions to the corresponding working groups assigned to each program. Supports network configuration/asset management activities, manages configuration drift, and accurately creates or modifies network/radio documentation to reflect the as-is and/or to-be environment Conduct Interoperability testing/verification of currently fielded/authorized SW/HW configurations utilized by the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) to include future capabilities. Develop scripts for automation, testing, and verification of all SW and HW utilized within the Waveforms Project. Integrate tactical radios and compatible waveforms to enable testing of all radio equipment, connected software/applications, and components required to operate on a secure network/architecture. Conduct installations, operations/functions, and troubleshooting radio communications software (CPA, JENM, ATOM, SPEED, ACES/JACS, etc.). Provide progress updates and support technical proposal development of the radio programming, software development, and practical application tools.
