Duration: 12 Months Job Description Memory Validation Technicians perform various hardware and software tests to identify functional issues or failures in client server systems. They are responsible for building new platforms, which includes installing hardware (HW) and software (SW) to prepare systems for testing. Additional responsibilities include initial failure debugging/triaging and interpreting log files. Memory Validation Technicians also manage inventory and track the status of equipment in the lab for the team. Responsibility: Follow instructions and maintain detailed and thorough notes regarding testing and results. Communicate effectively with the team. Complete assigned tests within expected timelines based on customer/internal roadmap deadlines. Handle multi-tasking under high-pressure situations to meet deadlines. Skills: Strong background in computer hardware, software, and PC architecture. Extensive familiarity with all Windows operating systems; Linux experience preferred. Minimum 5 years of PC hardware and software validation experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, and triaging PC hardware/software. Technical expertise in PC hardware devices and motherboard architecture. Ability to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues using PC architecture principles. Experience with Linux and Windows OS installations, including drivers. BIOS flashing experience using ROM burners or utilities. Knowledge of locating voltage rails, signals, and components via schematics. Ability to read and interpret system registers. Experience using and setting up lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on detail. Required Programming: Experience in developing Python or any other scripting language independently. Top Skills: Experience with platforms, hardware, post-silicon validation. Eagerness to learn and grow skill set. Problem-solving skills. Excel Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency. Soldering Experience: Nice to have. Direction and Independence: Ability to follow directions and work independently when necessary. DIMM Terminology: Familiarity with basic DIMM terms such as type, size, and speed. Power BI Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency. Education: BS/BE/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
