Strong Experience with backup technologies (e.g., Commvault) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS). Proficiency in VMware technologies and virtualization management tools. Overview: The System Engineer is responsible for managing Windows engineering, Linux engineering, Cloud engineering, backup and storage systems, and VMware environments. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including server installation, configuration, and administration. Implement and optimize Active Directory services, GP and domain services. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security and stability. Administer Linux systems like CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat. Configure and optimize web servers, database servers, and other critical applications running on Linux platforms. Implement security measures and perform regular system updates and patches. Design and implement cloud solutions for scalability, redundancy, and cost efficiency. Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical data and systems. Monitor storage systems, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure optimal performance. Deploy, configure, and manage VMware virtualization technologies: vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, disaster recovery solutions Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
