About the Role: Job Description : AI/ML Engineer Overview: This is an engineering position; consultants are not building models to hand of. The ideal candidate will do everything including deployment and maintenance (build, deploy, maintain model) Model requirements are received from other teams within the organization For any application within this group, there’s a product poc. If that person has a problem, and not easily solvable, they flip it to the machine learning and AI realm…act as members of the team temporarily The problem / model comes from the product team Requirements Bachelors or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field Hands-on experience in building and deploying AI/ML models including Classical ML, Generative AI, LangChain and NLP In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, software architecture, libraries and frameworks to create AI that accomplishes outlined goals Rigorous knowledge of Python programming to develop software. Java is a plus. Creative thinking and problem solving skills to come up with new solutions and approaches Skillful in developing and maintaining detailed, easy-to-read documentation including data dictionaries, model documentation, and code documentation Experience in integrating AI/ML into existing applications in batch and real time Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate within and outside the team Experience in Big Data ecosystem including Map-Reduce, Hive, Spark (core, SQL and PySpark) is a plus. Knowledge of basic UNIX commands is necessary. Experience with GitHub and leveraging CI/CD pipelines Additional Nice to Have’s Java is a plus. Hands-on experience on writing and understanding complex SQL and optimizing data pipelines. Experience with NoSQL is a plus Experience in taking models through AI/ML governance in highly regulated industry is a plus Location : Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $135,000 to $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
