What You Can Expect Job Title - Warehouse Lead – Look & Signage Location – Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Salary – Up to $65,000 Work type – Permanent Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Warehouse Lead . The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026, ensuring that Look and Wayfinding materials are effectively stored, managed, and distributed in alignment with event schedules and logistics plans. This critical role involves managing the receipt, organization, inventory, and dispatch of goods, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of assets across multiple venues. The Warehouse Lead will also be responsible for ensuring health and safety standards in the warehouse, implementing best practices in inventory management, and leading a team of warehouse staff. Main Responsibilities as a Warehouse Lead – Look & Signage Warehouse Operations Management Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, organization, inventory control, and dispatch of Look and Wayfinding material for both the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026. Ensure that all materials are stored securely, efficiently, and in compliance with logistical requirements and health & safety regulations. Implement warehouse processes and systems that maximize space utilization, inventory accuracy, and the timely availability of materials. Ensure that warehouse staff are properly trained and equipped to handle, store, and move materials safely and efficiently. Inventory Management Manage and utilize the Quest inventory system for all goods. Track inventory levels and ensure that materials are dispatched according to the event schedule. Manage real-time tracking of goods by using a scanning system. All materials entering and leaving the warehouse should be scanned in and out of the warehouse and scanned in at the venue. Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure all required materials are received, checked, and stored in a timely manner. Logistics Coordination & Distribution Work closely with the logistics team to plan and execute the distribution of materials to various event venues, teams, and stakeholders. Ensure that the timing and accuracy of deliveries to the venues are aligned with the event's operational needs. Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of shipments, ensuring items are packaged, labeled, and ready for transportation, and oversee their safe delivery to designated locations. Health, Safety & Compliance Implement and maintain health and safety protocols for warehouse operations, ensuring all activities comply with local and international safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards, provide safety training, and ensure that warehouse staff use proper equipment and adhere to safety procedures. Maintain documentation of all goods stored and dispatched from the warehouse, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, local laws, and operational standards. Team Leadership & Staff Management Lead, supervise, and motivate a warehouse team, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and safety standards are met. Recruit, train, and onboard warehouse staff, ensuring they understand operational workflows, safety protocols, and event-specific requirements. Assign daily tasks to warehouse staff and ensure that workload distribution is fair and balanced to meet tight deadlines and event schedules. Provide regular performance feedback and support continuous training to improve team skills and warehouse operations. Process Improvement Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve inventory management. Identify bottlenecks or challenges within warehouse operations and work with the logistics and operations teams to develop and implement effective solutions. Suggest and implement improvements to streamline warehouse processes, reduce lead times, and support the timely execution of the tournaments. Event Preparation & Post-Event Management Coordinate pre-event warehouse setups, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all materials. Oversee the packing, shipping, and return of materials after the event, ensuring that equipment and supplies are returned to storage or properly disposed of in accordance with sustainability goals. Reporting & Documentation Provide regular reports to senior management on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and any issues or risks that may impact event delivery. Maintain detailed logistics documentation, including inventory reports, shipping and receiving records, and safety protocols. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in large-scale international events, sports tournaments, or similar industries. Strong understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, WMS, or similar tools). Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and accurately. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, including providing training, setting clear expectations, and motivating staff. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within warehouse environments and the ability to enforce safe working practices. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially in the lead-up to and during major events like the FIFA World Cup. Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate with logistics, procurement, and event teams. Fluency in English (additional languages such as Spanish, French are a plus). Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think on your feet and find solutions to unforeseen logistical challenges. Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and evolving demands during the tournament period. Strong understanding of sustainability practices and commitment to minimizing waste and environmental impact in warehouse operations. Passion for sports, particularly football, and an understanding of the scale and complexity of managing logistics for major international events.
