Title: Sr IT Infrastructure Analyst Location: Norfolk, VA on-site (remote Friday's after training period) Schedule: M-F standard hours Pay: $85-100k Type: 3 month contract to permanent hire w/ client Scope of Position We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and hands-on Senior Analyst, Enterprise IT Infrastructure to join our team at the Corporate Headquarters located in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The candidate should also have a strong virtualization background. This position reports to the Manager of Network and Server Administration. Responsibilities & Expectations: • Installation, support and maintenance of Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and WiFi Access Points. • Design and Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of Cisco-based network solutions, including LAN/WAN, WiFi, Access Control systems, and IaaS (Azure & AWS) to meet the company's strategic objectives. • Network Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. • Security: Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats. Manage and configure Access Control systems, including Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC), to ensure secure and efficient access to network resources. • Performance Monitoring: Use advanced monitoring tools, including Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), to track network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues. • Virtualization Support: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Nutanix infrastructure, ensuring high. VMware experince preferred availability and performance. • Virtualization Security: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures for Nutanix environments to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats. • Virtualization Monitoring: Use advanced monitoring tools, including Nutanix Prism, to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues. • Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures. • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and application development, to support business initiatives and troubleshoot network-related issues. • Vendor Management: Coordinate with Cisco and other network equipment vendors to ensure timely support and resolution of technical issues. • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior network engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Innovation: Stay current with emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's network infrastructure.
