We are expanding rapidly and now require a Repair and Warehouse Assistant to join our US team who will assist the operations team with the dispatch of customer orders and carry out repairs on our range of virtual reality headsets. To find out more about our products, please visit www.classVR.com What will you be doing As the Repair and Warehouse Assistant you will work within the Operations Teams, assisting other team members with the preparation of educational goods prior to dispatch, ensuring that the correct specification and type of products are used to fulfil each customer order. You will also be responsible for the repair of the company's range of educational technology products and liaising with customers to arrange the return and delivery of RMA (Return Manufacturer Authorization) goods. This will involve the strip down, repair and replacement of electronic components within products. You will also be involved in preparing orders ready for shipment which will include quality checks, packing of orders and preparing paperwork and labels for couriers/shippers as well as be involved in the technical setup and configuration of devices, along with quality control and testing of hardware prior to dispatch. This is a hands-on role in a fast paced and demanding environment. Colleagues and customers will need to be kept fully informed with the latest information relating to the delivery of their shipment, including those working within different time zones. The role would suit someone who has a general interest in electronic gadgets but is not essential as all training will be provided. Main tasks and responsibilities Product Repairs Repairing and/or replacing VR (Virtual Reality) headsets. Providing quotations to customers for out of warranty repairs. Liaising with customers to arrange returns and repairs. Stock control of RMA spare components including liaising with the wider support team and operations team to ensure a sufficient flow of spare parts. Assisting the technical support team with RMA repair assessments. Carefully packaging and arranging the return of repaired equipment to customers. Assisting the technical support team with customer questions and escalating to senior technicians where required. Completing technical notes and updates on our system correctly so that each device has clear and concise technical breakdown notes. General technical administration including updating management and customers who may have queries about their repairs or replacement devices. Check work completed for compliance before passing to the next stage. Ensure job history is accurately maintained and recorded. Proactively advise management of any issues that may affect delivery and/or quality. Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to. Warehouse and Dispatch Preparing customer orders from finished goods inventory in the warehouse Day to day dispatching of domestic and international orders from customers Precisely communicating order shipment scheduling and status to both customers and internal teams in a time sensitive and well written manner Preparing stock counts in the warehouse and helping to manage inventory of finished goods Adhering to precise shipping processes for each customer, ensuring that all delivery procedures are followed correctly, with all details recorded on inventory control systems Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse. Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and shipping containers. What we are looking for Precise and responsive communication skills General practical skills, including the use of hand and power tools Knowledge of electrical components and computer parts Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in detail Excellent attention to detail Hard working and willing to learn and grow with the company Confident and polite telephone manner, with the ability to understand and document customer inquiries via phone and written English. Ability to work to daily timeframes and repair deadlines. Able to work as part of a team, with a self-motivated, 'can do' attitude Knowledge of mobile devices and tablet computing preferred but not essential as all training will be provided Genuine interest in electronic repairs. Good computer skills (including key Office programs such as Word / Excel / Outlook etc).
