Job Title : Cloud Platform Technical Business Analyst Location: Remote but preference given to Phoenix based candidates who have ability to go onsite if needed. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Technical Business Analyst to join our team. This individual will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and platform engineering teams, ensuring the accurate translation of business requirements into actionable technical user stories. Must possess strong technical expertise in AWS and Azure , with deep knowledge of platform engineering , infrastructure as code , networking , and Terraform . The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate across teams, and the ability to translate complex technical needs into detailed, actionable technical requirements. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and define platform engineering needs for cloud-based infrastructure and services. Translate complex stakeholder needs into clear and actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, ensuring the platform engineering team can implement them effectively. Develop and manage requirements documentation, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with technical teams to identify and analyze technical challenges and design efficient solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals. Assist in developing the architecture of cloud-based platforms, ensuring they meet business needs and industry standards. Support the platform engineering team in AWS and Azure environments, including infrastructure management, networking, and deployment processes. Ensure that user stories and technical requirements adhere to industry best practices and standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring regular updates and communication of project progress and challenges. Work closely with IaC teams to create stories for Infrastructure as Code Terraform implementations. Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud solutions by aligning requirements with best practices in cloud security, networking, and infrastructure. Willingness to upskill as necessary to support stories for latest technologies Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role in a cloud platform environment. Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platform infrastructure, including resources such as virtual machines, containers, storage, knowledge of different types of applications, and networking. Strong understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation. Strong understanding of platform engineering bast practices, landing zones, and well architected frameworks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and document technical requirements in business terms. Experience in creating detailed user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria. Familiarity with cloud security practices and tools, including identity management and data protection. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in AWS and Azure (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect). Experience with agile methodologies and Azure DevOps for story tracking Knowledge of latest technologies, tools, and frameworks e.g. Kubernetes, Dynatrace , nference , Infoblox , CyberArk Conjur , and Kong – must be willing to learn as needed Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
