Due to the team's success and the continued demand and growth within the battery market, the Partner is seeking a passionate and experienced battery optimization specialist to join their team. Given the startup nature of the firm, the team is collaborative, offers significant visibility to the CEO, and provides the opportunity to make a substantial impact on day one. Beyond battery expertise, it is essential that qualified candidates have a passion for the continued application of quantitative techniques to drive profitability. Key Responsibilities Utilize data science tools and algorithms to optimize battery storage revenue: This involves using various data science techniques and software to analyze and improve the financial performance of battery storage systems. The goal is to maximize revenue by making informed decisions based on data Communicate insights and recommendations to clients and data scientists: You will need to effectively convey your findings and suggestions to both clients and your team. This requires clear and concise communication to ensure everyone understands the data and its implications Ensure that bids and inputs are correctly processed and submitted. This task involves managing and verifying the accuracy of bids and other inputs related to trading or operations. It's crucial to ensure that all data is correctly handled and submitted on time Conduct short-term fundamental analysis to support trading decisions: This involves analyzing market trends, economic indicators, and other relevant data to make informed trading decisions. The focus is on short-term analysis to support immediate trading strategies Qualifications 3 years of experience in trading or a related field is preferred, with a background as a virtual trader being ideal: Experience in trading or a similar field is highly valued. A background as a virtual trader suggests familiarity with trading platforms and strategies Effective communication is essential for collaborating with clients and colleagues. This includes both verbal and written communication skills Basic proficiency in Python scripting ; advanced programming skills: previous experience using this coding language on trading desks / performing fundamental analytics Ability to understand and evaluate data science fundamentals and grasp the basic concepts and techniques used in data science, such as statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, or related fields
