Our Challenge: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that support our data-driven initiatives. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure is efficient, scalable, and secure. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Irving,, TX is $100k-$110k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Design and implement data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from various sources into Snowflake and other data storage solutions. Utilize cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS to build and manage scalable data architectures and solutions. Develop and optimize stored procedures and SQL scripts to enhance data processing efficiency. Implement Hadoop ecosystems for big data processing and analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and governance. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of data pipelines and processes. Document data workflows, architecture diagrams, and data lineage for transparency and compliance. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud computing. Requirements: You are: Proven experience (7-10 years) in data engineering or related roles. Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and its functionalities. Proficient in cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Solid understanding of Hadoop and its ecosystem (e.g., HDFS, Hive, Pig). Experience with data pipeline frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow, or similar). Proficient in SQL and experience with writing stored procedures. Strong knowledge of data integration techniques and best practices. Familiarity with ELT processes and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. It would be great if you also had: Experience in data modeling and database design. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with data governance and security best practices.
