Senior Software Engineer – Hybrid in Santa Monica/LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Orlando, or NYC - W2 Only There are no Corp-to-Corp options or Visa Sponsorship available for this position Optomi, in partnership with a market leader in the entertainment industry, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid position out of their one of their hub locations in Santa Monica/LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Orlando, or New York City. This candidate will work on a high-profile Slack to Teams migration project for a large-scale user base. This candidate should have deep technical expertise in migrating, consolidating, and optimizing Slack, Google Workplace, and Box applications into Microsoft-based toolsets. Additionally, this candidate will play a critical role in transitioning workflows, integrations, and applications and may also serve as an advisor to other teams as needed. Proven expertise in programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell. Experience working with APIs, including Graph API and Teams Chat Bots. Demonstrated experience working with large-scale user environments (1000 users). Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of IT experience with a focus on messaging and collaboration technologies. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Graph API, Teams custom apps, and Azure chat bots. Hands-on experience with migrations involving Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Calendars) and Box applications. Expertise in SharePoint and OneDrive site permissions and SSO integrations. Experience with Atlassian product integration into Microsoft environments. Strong analytical, engineering, and project management skills. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels, including executive leadership. Responsibilities of the right candidate: Lead the migration and optimization of Slack, Google Workspace, and Box applications into Microsoft-based platforms. Design and implement backend solutions using technologies like Python, C#, JavaScript, or PowerShell. Develop and integrate workflows, APIs, and bots (e.g., Teams Graph API, Teams Chat Bots). Perform large-scale migrations involving custom applications and APIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of Microsoft tools. Provide technical advisory support during the transition process. Maintain high standards of technical documentation and project delivery.
