The individual will be responsible for ensuring quality representation of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in the defense of workers' compensation claims and will supervise a legal team that includes staff attorneys and legal assistants, while maintaining a caseload. Additional management responsibilities include but are not limited to client development, recruiting and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
Desired Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate is a senior-level attorney with at least five years' experience in workers' compensation defense
• A current California Bar membership in good standing
• Excellent research, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Strong Marketing and Business development experience
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization
• Ability to lead and motivate the team to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve goals
• Previous management and leadership experience is a plus
• Experience with MerusCase Management a plus
