Role: Service Desk Analyst (1st Line Support) Location: Worcester Salary: Up to £30,000 We’re working with an ambitious and growing IT company based in Worcester that is looking for a Service Desk Analyst (1st Line Support) to join their team. What You’ll Be Doing: As a 1st Line Support Engineer , you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for clients’ IT queries. Your responsibilities will include: • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. • Using remote desktop software and ticketing systems to manage and resolve support requests. • Supporting users in Windows and macOS environments, as well as mobile operating systems like iOS and Android. • Resolving issues related to the Microsoft 365 suite , including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. • Managing user accounts in Active Directory , such as resetting passwords and unlocking accounts. • Handling basic networking queries, including IP addressing, DNS, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues. • Troubleshooting hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. What We’re Looking For: To thrive in this role, you’ll need: • Experience in basic IT troubleshooting , with the ability to identify and resolve a range of technical issues. • A good understanding of Windows and macOS environments, with basic familiarity with mobile operating systems. • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite , including Outlook and Teams, with troubleshooting experience. • Knowledge of Active Directory , including resetting passwords and managing access. • An understanding of basic networking principles, such as IP addressing, DNS, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting. • Strong communication skills —you’re able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
