Position Overview: We are currently looking for a driven and experienced Logistics manager to join Nolte Kitchens Contracts Limited (formerly BKNC Limited). We specialise in designing and delivering multi-unit kitchen projects for house builders and property developers and are in an exciting phase of growth. This role will be responsible for leading, managing and developing our logistics team to achieve objectives that align with the rest of the business and enhance our customer service through efficient logistics operations. You will manage various roles throughout our operations department, namely, warehouse operatives, stock controller, drivers and labourers. This role will report into the Head of Operations. Key responsibilities include: • Ensure the organisation of the warehouse, looking at new innovative ways to improve the organisation along with the delivery services • Monitor vehicle and driver compliance with legal requirements, analyse results, and implement necessary improvements. • Investigate logistics issues to enhance routes and overall service quality. • Plan and schedule deliveries, including allocating labour requirements, using efficient route planning to minimise environmental impacts. • Optimise routes to achieve cost savings and improve profitability • Oversee the management of goods in and goods out processes. • Organize and coordinate resources, including temporary workers, to meet logistics requirements. • Promote and implement technologies to improve data capture in logistics • Lead, manage, and develop personnel, including addressing absence, disciplinary issues, and training. • Maintain effective relationships between service department to enhance customer service. • Ensure drivers meet planned service levels. • Propose and implement improvements for continuous functional enhancement. • Meet Customer Delivery KPIs. • Adhere to company vision, values, policies, and procedures. • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and all relevant legislation Qualifications/experience: • Proven experience in logistics management and supply chain management • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills • Leadership and management skills • Ability to work well with others • Attention to detail What's on Offer • Salary: £competitive • 25 days’ holiday a year plus bank holidays. • Perkbox discount scheme for hundreds of high street retailers • Opportunity for ongoing training and development Working arrangements • Based in our Operational centre in Wrexham (industrial estate) • Full time 9.00am – 5.00pm (35 hours a week – Monday to Friday, 1 hour unpaid lunch break) • Driving licence (desirable).
