Job Description Due to an expanding client base, Monument Group Europe is seeking a Senior Analyst / Associate (title dependent on experience level of successful candidate) to focus on secondary transactions; both GP-led (single & multi-asset) and LP portfolio sales. They will work closely alongside senior members of the team in Europe and the US to oversee the sourcing & execution of secondary transactions in Europe. The role will likely be based in London although Amsterdam is also possible for the right candidate. The secondaries market has grown very substantially in the past five years and is expected to continue to do so. It is an exciting time to join Monument Group and be an important element in growing this business in Europe. The successful candidate will be also expected to support the primary fundraising team with analysis, materials drafting & preparation, etc on an ad hoc basis. It is expected this will compromise on average c. 30% of the role. Initial key responsibilities include: - Working closely with the secondaries team which is based in Boston, USA, to draft pitch presentations and other marketing materials - Originating secondaries opportunities in Europe in conjunction with / supporting the senior members of the European team - Helping to prepare analysis and research related to secondaries - Attending client meetings, update calls with LPs, etc - Following up with GP and LP clients to ensure a smooth running of all secondary transactions - Managing due diligence data rooms and our CRM system to ensure all information is current & accurate as well as preparing associated reports - Working closely alongside the primary fundraising team to help draft marketing documents, perform analysis, respond to LP questions, etc. Qualifications & Experience - Enthusiasm to develop a career in the private equity secondary market - Proven investment banking, transaction services, M&A, audit, legal, or similar relevant financial services experience of a minimum of 2 years - Exceptional academic credentials with at least a 2:1 from a leading university - Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with creating persuasive content - Strong analytical and quantitative ability with high attention to detail - Desire to work in a dynamic boutique, small team office environment - Self-starter and entrepreneurial passion - The following attributes are advantageous for this role: o Experience in private markets, especially PE o Experience in executing secondary transactions o Fluency in a European language other than English To apply, please submit your application via the open position on Monument Group’s LinkedIn page.
