Job title: Exhibitions & Events Logistics Manager Location: Birmingham Salary: £55,000pa Job ID: 163 Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Expo-Events Logistics Manager to join their team. This technical role requires strong experience in on-site logistics and project management within the events and exhibitions industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crews, overseeing the handling of technical equipment, and improving logistical processes for exhibitions and events. Key Responsibilities: On-Site Logistics & Project Management: Oversee logistics for multiple events, including exhibitions and shows, ensuring smooth operations from planning through to execution. Crew & Staff Management: Lead and manage event crews, including outsourced staff, to ensure efficient on-site delivery. Equipment Handling: Responsible for managing and overseeing the use of technical equipment (printers, tablets, PDAs), forklift operations, and other machinery on-site. Warehouse & Temporary Space Management: Supervise the management of warehouse space in Derby and temporary storage areas at event venues. Software & System Improvement: Work with the company’s proprietary software to improve operational efficiency and streamline logistics processes. Reporting: Report directly to senior management, providing regular updates and insights on logistics and project progress. Required Experience & Skills: Proven experience in exhibition logistics and on-site project management. Familiarity with managing technical equipment and handling warehouse operations. Strong leadership and crew management skills, particularly with outsourced staff. Ability to work with proprietary software and suggest improvements. Knowledge of forklift operations and equipment handling. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Job Details: Salary: Up to £55,000 (bonuses to be confirmed). Work Model: Hybrid (office-based on Tuesdays and Thursdays, working from home on other days). Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Weekend and Evening work will be required on occasion Start Date: Early March (preferred).
