How you'll contribute A Nurse Manager (RN) who excels in this role: Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift. Minimizes use of agency and overtime. Demonstrates good judgment in assessing acuity levels to determine appropriate staffing. Assists in monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences, leave early and stay late behavior. Assist in communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or other important information. Preform evaluations and disciplines in an appropriate and timely manner. Report incidents appropriately and within the designated time frame. Demonstrates good judgment in contacting the AOC or DON. Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies. Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift. Minimizes use of agency and overtime. Demonstrates good judgment in assessing acuity levels to determine appropriate staffing. What we're looking for Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills: Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Two years' leadership experience preferred. License: Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver's license preferred. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days. May be required to work flexible hours.
