A sales and sustainability Co‑worker at IKEA manages the recycling operations by handling returns, damaged goods, and supporting IKEA’s circular goals by ensuring products and materials are reused, recycled, or disposed of responsibly.
WHAT WE OFFER
• The Start Date of employment will be: 27th of February .
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
• Contract sizes available are 16 and 24 hours per week, with shift patterns being during the day, evenings and weekends. You will receive every 4th weekend off.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• You have a pro-active approach to waste management and sustainability, love multi-tasking, and a passion for giving things a new life.
• You have a strong attention to detail and prioritise quality for the customer, displaying good communication and customer service skills.
• You are motivated and enjoy working in a physically demanding role that involves the safe manual handling of our IKEA products and furniture.
• You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available.
• Due to health and safety reasons you will need to be over the age of 18 years.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Re-purpose, present and sell IKEA products with pride to create the best customer experience and results for the business. This is a customer-facing role, where you will support our customers purchasing products at times.
• Work closely with the different functions in the unit to support range changes and to ensure that the product quality of displayed furniture is maintained, and use your initiative to intervene when necessary.
• Support, execute and follow the product quality guidelines for recalled, returned and ex-display stock, to constantly improve customers’ perception of our IKEA products.
• Take responsibility to ensure furniture is built correctly and secured in line with health & safety/manual handling practices to ensure a safe shopping and working environment for our visitors and co-worker.
