Position Title: Occupational Therapist - Picayune, MS Reports To: Clinical Director Supervises: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) / Therapy Technician (as applicable) Schedule & Shifts: Flexible scheduling options available Therapists typically choose: Monday-Thursday: 4 × 9-hour days Friday: 4-hour day Position Overview The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients through individualized, functional plans of care designed to improve independence and quality of life. This role requires strong clinical reasoning, effective communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members while maintaining a supportive and engaging clinical environment. The OT will manage a hybrid caseload of pediatric and adult patients , tailoring treatment approaches to align with patient goals and best practices. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Perform initial evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care Implement and progress evidence-based treatment interventions Provide care consistent with ethical, legal, and professional standards Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members Documentation & Compliance Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations and company standards Patient Engagement Build strong therapeutic relationships to encourage participation and adherence to plans of care Educate patients and caregivers to support functional outcomes Be available for patient or family consultations as needed Collaboration & Operations Collaborate with PT, SLP, and support staff to ensure continuity of care Participate in weekly team meetings Support a positive, welcoming clinic environment Perform additional duties as assigned by clinic leadership Caseload & Work Environment Hybrid pediatric and adult outpatient caseload Structured schedules designed to support quality care and clinician sustainability AI-assisted documentation to support efficient note completion Flexible scheduling options with no weekend requirements Professional Development Structured mentorship for new graduates Ongoing clinical and leadership development opportunities Continuing education support aligned with professional goals Qualifications Education Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Licensure NBCOT certification Active state OT license or eligibility for licensure
