This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience at a Magnet-designated acute hospital recognized as a Level II Trauma Center. Key Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures Ensure patient safety, monitor vitals, and assist surgical teams throughout operations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain efficient OR flow and high standards of care Adhere strictly to infection control policies and protocols May float to similar units as needed, staying within nursing scope Participate in on-call rotation mainly for coverage during call-offs Complete documentation using Epic electronic charting system Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Alaska RN license required (must be in hand for immediate hire) Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience Current BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Ability to work 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week (shift start 6:45 AM or 9:00 AM) Experience in acute hospital or trauma center settings preferred Reliable, adaptable, and able to respond to call coverage when necessary Candidates must live at least 50 miles from Anchorage (remote candidates only) Pending licenses considered but must be active at start date Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts (06:4519:15 or 09:0021:30) Benefits & Perks: Contract length of 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 60 per two-week period Free parking available onsite Access to a leading medical facility with excellent resources and advanced technology Supportive team environment in a nationally recognized hospital This contract position offers an excellent chance to contribute in a prestigious, Magnet-recognized hospital while experiencing the beautiful locale of Anchorage.
