Description Job description Position Summary: under moderate direction, coordinates and supervises pharmacy services including preparation, administration and dispensing of drugs, supplies, and equipment, preparation of non-sterile products and clinical pharmacy services. The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge. A pharmacist does not merely hand out prescribed medicine; he/she has the expertise and willingness to assist people and provide them with information and solutions. The pharmacist must be fully qualified to interpret symptoms so that the patient can either be given immediate treatment for a trifling condition or to be referred to the suitable doctor. Pharmacists must be able to provide professional advice on cosmetics or parapharmaceuticals. The goal is to ensure effective medication use and become the people's trusted ally against health issues. That way you can deliver maximum value to both the pharmacy and society. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of two years experience as a pharmacist Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm. D or RPh) from an accredited college of pharmacy Currently licensed as a registered pharmacist in state of pharmacy Possess the necessary supervisory/management skills and/or experience to supervise the pharmacy Team player Problem solver Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems Good organizing and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customers, clients, and employees Integrity and compassion Dependable in attendance and job performance Responsibilities: Review and execute physician's prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice Provide assistance and other medical services such as immunizations, blood pressure measurements, medication therapy management (MTM), etc. Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding medication Supervises, directs, and coordinates all pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Creates plan to mitigate risks of Direct and Indirect Renumeration (DIR) Fees by focusing heavily on quality and compliance Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures Any other duties related to the pharmacist role as required Job Type : Part time coverage, 9 hours per week Salary : From $55.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate : Pooler, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) License/Certification: Georgia Pharmacist License (Required) Work Location : In person Salary $55 - $65 per hour
