We are excited to offer the opportunity for a Finance Controller at ILM, a critical senior leadership role that will shape the future of our financial operations. You will oversee global financial functions across five dynamic studios/regions, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed financial reporting and regulatory compliance standards. This pivotal role provides essential financial insights that facilitate executive decision-making and serves as the primary liaison to Disney Studio Accounting. Location: This position is based in San Francisco and operates in a Hybrid model, allowing flexibility to work onsite and remotely. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all quarterly and ad hoc financial reporting submitted to Disney, ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate standards. Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Lead the Global Accounting Team, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure team success. Collaborate with the FP&A Team to analyze and report financial results effectively. Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and tax compliance. Research and resolve technical accounting issues in partnership with Disney Accounting and internal teams. Ensure effective revenue recognition processes on a global scale. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and uphold financial integrity. Plan and facilitate internal and external audits. Communicate key financial matters to our executive team efficiently. Partner with Production Accounting to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project costs. Oversee complex transactions, including consolidation accounting and intercompany eliminations in a multi-currency environment. Conduct regular analyses of Employee Benefit rates across studios and adjust as needed. Oversee preparation of data for production and R&D tax incentives. Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting records to ensure compliance and accuracy. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in a Controller role, with managerial experience in a multi-currency global company. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or technical certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud certifications, PMP) are a plus. Must hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation; Big 4 US GAAP audit experience is strongly preferred. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud Financials; SAP experience is a bonus. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing operational support with strategic initiatives. Deep understanding of international accounting and multi-entity consolidations. Exceptional documentation and communication skills, particularly in change management and user enablement. The salary range for this position in San Francisco is $202,400-$247,200 per year. Actual compensation will be aligned with internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package, alongside a comprehensive benefits offering.
