Description The Advanced Faculty Advisor in Sciences is a vital member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. You will strategically engage with key course-level administrators, acting as an expert in pedagogy and subject matter alignment of Pearson digital products with the educational objectives and outcomes. In this role, you will leverage your expert-level knowledge of Pearson's digital implementation models to excel across various disciplines within the Sciences. Your ability to translate these skills into different fields will enhance the educational experience across educational settings. You will be adept at addressing inquiries with customized responses and utilizing a set of milestones to track and assess success, facilitating discussions with a structured rubric and reporting template. As a Faculty Advisor, you will empower faculty at selected accounts with the necessary tools and insights to optimize the use of Pearson digital products in their courses. This includes coordinating face-to-face and virtual training sessions, creating implementation-specific tutorials, and offering resources like product videos to support effective integration. Responsibilities Collaborate with course-level administrators, leveraging discipline expertise and digital product knowledge to advise on optimal integration of Pearson digital resources to enhance teaching and learning. Provide insights into digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies, underscoring best practices within Mastering courseware. Consult with customers regarding content modification or creation. Develop and deliver department-specific training materials, including videos, written guides, and both live and recorded webinars as needed. Partner with product teams to share insights and recommendations on products in development. Collaborate with Sales on campaigns, meetings, demonstrations, and other initiatives to support their efforts. Utilize defined success metrics and reporting structures to provide comprehensive documentation of recommendations and course evolution to clients and internal stakeholders. Travel as needed to facilitate in-person training and implementation workshops and attend relevant conferences and internal meetings. Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant discipline area is required. Minimum of 5 years of full-time collegiate teaching experience or equivalent qualifications. Power-user experience with Pearson Mastering is essential. Preferred knowledge and experience in multiple Science fields; expertise in Physics, Biology, and/or Geosciences is a plus. Experience in online teaching is preferred. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is desirable. Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools is advantageous. Ability to engage with international customers across various time zones is beneficial. Experience presenting at conferences, department meetings, and events is an asset. Recognition for high achievement in collegiate teaching, such as awards, is preferred. Compensation at Pearson is influenced by various factors, including skills, experience, and location. The minimum full-time salary range for this position is $68,000 - $70,000. This role is eligible for an annual incentive program. Information on benefits is available upon request.
