Dependable Staffing Agency is actively seeking compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support the needs of our community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Provide patient care and nursing assistance as permitted within the CNA scope of practice and in accordance with facility policies. Assist patients and youth with daily living activities and deliver nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Monitor and document the condition of patients receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and communicate any changes to the RN. Collect specimens for diagnostic testing. Collaborate with non-custody staff to deliver comprehensive patient care. Prepare transfer documentation for patients and coordinate appointments for specialty care. Document all aspects of patient care, including oral and written reports and logbook entries. Maintain equipment, check inventory, and assist with ordering supplies. Provide personal care services as outlined in resident care plans. Measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output. Identify and report changes in residents’ conditions to a licensed nurse. Deliver restorative interventions as directed by nursing staff. Recognize and address residents' emotional, social, and mental health needs. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents; report hazards or unusual occurrences. Participate in care planning and nursing reporting processes. Uphold residents’ rights, including responding appropriately to abuse and neglect. Change linens and prepare sleeping areas. Complete documentation of resident care before the end of each shift. Respond promptly to call lights. Attend required training sessions and complete 12 hours of in-service annually. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving job requirements. Handle protected health information (PHI) confidentially and securely. Job Requirements: At least 12 months of direct patient care experience within the last three years in public or private facilities. Clinical competencies must be up-to-date. Possess a current Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the State of California. Maintain a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association provider. Complete competency validation as outlined in Title 22, Section 70016, or Section 70016.1 prior to performing duties. Comply with 8 CCR 5199 standards for respiratory protection, including medical clearance for N95 and PAPR usage. Proficiently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with the Department of Corrections. Submit required documentation including CNA license, BLS certification, state ID, Social Security card, TB test, and N95 mask fit test.
