Summit Place of Mooresville is excited to welcome new Resident Caregivers to our compassionate team! Shift Availability: Full-Time and Part-Time positions for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Work schedule includes Monday to Friday with every other weekend commitment. The Resident Caregiver will report directly to the Family Experience Director, Pearl Director, or the Assistant Family Experience Director. POSITION OVERVIEW The Resident Caregiver is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care and support to our residents and their families in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. This role involves providing hands-on assistance and emotional support as defined in each resident's Personalized Service Plan (PSP) while ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. The Resident Caregiver will uphold all wellness practices, adhere to federal, state, local standards and regulations, and follow Phoenix policies to ensure our residents receive exceptional care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Resident Care Activities Contribute to the development and regular updates of Personalized Service Plans; attend meetings with families as requested. Ensure that residents’ hydration schedules are maintained throughout the shift. Complete resident meal attendance reports and provide room service for those who did not dine in the dining room. Understand and uphold all resident rights. Initiate, assign, and assist in activities as appropriate. Conduct daily checks on assigned residents for cleanliness, appropriate attire, and any changes in condition. Employ correct sanitary procedures and universal precautions. Regularly inspect assigned resident rooms for cleanliness and report or address any issues; ensure high-risk rooms receive extra attention. Assist with maintaining cleanliness in laundry rooms and common areas, addressing any safety hazards promptly. Perform all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) per the residents’ Personalized Service Plans (PSP). Respond promptly to the security system and resident call bells, taking appropriate action including resetting call bells. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma preferred, and may be a requirement in your state. Prior experience working with elderly or disabled individuals is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old to provide personal care as a Resident Caregiver. Knowledge and experience in the assisted living industry and dementia care or skilled nursing are advantageous.
