The Company: ADEC, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives within their communities. We provide a diverse range of services to over 1,000 clients in local areas, including residential settings, employment services, day programming, and therapeutic interventions such as behavior consultation and music therapy. The Training Nurse plays a crucial role in promoting the well-being of our clients by overseeing staff training and health care needs, while ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations. This part-time position is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. The Position: The Training Nurse will: Conduct engaging in-service education for both new and current ADEC staff, tailored to group or individual needs. Maintain and update training materials, ensuring alignment with Indiana's Core A and Core B training requirements. Understand and implement health standards as mandated by relevant regulatory bodies. Job Requirements: Must be a Registered Nurse or LPN with an active Indiana license; experience with developmentally disabled individuals in residential services is preferred. Certification with the Red Cross for teaching CPR/First Aid and Mantoux certification is a plus. No history of criminal activity related to dependent populations or any violent crimes. Must have no evidence of illegal drug use or abuse, and will be required to pass a drug screening. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, work effectively in a team, and uphold confidentiality. Must be willing to travel locally and distantly; proof of access to an insured vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a safe driving record is required.
