Transform Lives as a Dialysis Care Technician At US Renal Care, as a Dialysis Care Technician (DCT), you will play a vital role in a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional treatment to patients with renal failure. Working under the expert guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will provide essential care and support to patients during their dialysis journey. Your Responsibilities: Patient Care: Engage directly with patients to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis experience. Tasks include collecting patient vital signs before and after treatments, initiating and monitoring treatment, safely terminating treatment, and performing blood sample collections as per physician orders. Technical Duties: Prioritize patient safety and quality of care by preparing machines for hemodialysis, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment, and conducting safety checks while logging results for quality assurance. You will ensure adherence to all relevant protocols and regulations. Adherence to Safety Standards: Utilize appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and work closely with the Charge Nurse to comply with all company policies, state, and federal regulations. Continuous education and participation in staff meetings will be essential. What We're Seeking: High school diploma or equivalent. A passion for healthcare and commitment to patient care. Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is advantageous. Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate per protocol. Ability to distinguish all primary colors. Additional Requirements: Completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency within the first 8 weeks of employment. CPR certification required within 90 days of hiring or as mandated by state regulations. Certification as a Patient Care Technician through a state or national certification program must be obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter, adhering to state-specific requirements.
