How You Will Make a Difference As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of patients with renal failure. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: You will work face-to-face with patients, providing a safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment experience. This includes gathering patient statistics before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatments, terminating them appropriately, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians. Technician Responsibilities: Your role will also involve ensuring that our hemodialysis machines are ready for use. You will consistently clean and disinfect machines post-treatment and perform safety checks, meticulously logging results for quality control while adhering to strict protocols and regulations. Safety and Quality: Under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will implement safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Participation in staff meetings and continuing education is essential to maintain our high care standards. A sincere passion for working in healthcare and providing excellent patient care. Prior experience in healthcare—particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)—is an asset. Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to safety protocols. Ability to distinguish all primary colors. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within the first 8 weeks of hire. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as stipulated by state regulations.
