How You Will Transform Lives As a Patient Care Specialist at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in our dedicated team, providing care and conducting essential treatment activities for patients managing renal failure. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), your role is crucial in ensuring each patient's comfort and safety during their treatment. Your Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Interact directly with patients to deliver quality dialysis treatments. Your duties will include monitoring patient statistics before and after their sessions, initiating and concluding treatments, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians. Technical Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain hemodialysis machines, perform necessary cleaning and disinfecting between treatments, and conduct safety checks while ensuring compliance with quality control protocols. Safety Protocols: Utilize personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines while ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations. Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education opportunities. What We Seek in You High school diploma or equivalent. A strong desire to work in healthcare and provide compassionate patient care. Experience in healthcare, particularly within dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous. Comfortable handling and mixing treatment solutions according to established protocols. Ability to distinguish primary colors. Additional Requirements Complete the USRC training program within 8 weeks of hire and demonstrate competency in hemodialysis theory and practice. Obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire, as required by state law.
