Overview: Join our dynamic team at Excel Fitness as a Front Desk Member Services Representative. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional service in a fitness club environment. This role plays a critical part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all members. Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding performance throughout your scheduled shifts. Maintain club cleanliness and contribute to a positive atmosphere. Become proficient in using the Planet Fitness mobile app and stay updated on its content and features. Complete mandatory training to ensure safe and efficient operations. Conduct regular audits to uphold club presentation standards. Perform walkarounds and follow up on staff cleaning tasks. Accurately audit and balance cash drawers daily. Input and update member information using tablets and point of sale systems. Enforce company policies and address any infractions as needed. Ensure a safe and secure environment for all club members. Engage with members to deliver high-quality service and support. Stock and replenish retail and janitorial supplies for following shifts. Assist in resolving any member issues in compliance with company standards. Participate in inventory audits and communicate recommendations to management. Stay current with all necessary certifications and training. Take part in team meetings to enhance operational effectiveness. Promote the club to potential members and assist with tours. Support management with membership promotions and operational strategies. Ensure club compliance with all state and federal regulations. Help members use equipment and amenities correctly and safely. Assist management with community outreach events and activities. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent required. CPR Certification and AED Certification are mandatory before working independently, with training available within the first 30 days of hire. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers. Team-oriented, motivated, and organized individual. Critical thinking skills to proactively identify and solve problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. Familiarity with Excel's mission, values, and the Planet Fitness brand. Work Environment: This role operates in a fitness club setting, utilizing standard office equipment like computers and phones, as well as custodial tools including cleaning chemicals and equipment. The noise level in the club may be loud. Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to: Communicate effectively. Stand and walk frequently; use hands for various tasks; reach with arms. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Possess specific vision abilities such as close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time or part-time, nonexempt position. Scheduled work hours will be determined based on the club's operational needs. Full-Time employees work at least 30 hours per week, while Part-Time employees work 29 hours or less. Flexibility in hours is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights as necessary. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
