Locums Pediatric Teleradiologist Location: Long Beach, CA (Remote Reading) Immediate Availability (Urgent) Dates Needed: 2/19-2/20: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM 2/21: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Coverage Type: Remote pediatric teleradiology Modalities: All except nuclear medicine Procedures: Weekend shift includes procedures Physician must respond within 30 minutes for emergency procedures If the candidate is non-local, the Lead Pediatric Radiologist can cover procedures on Saturday 2/21 Ongoing Option: PRN coverage available after these dates Required Licenses and Certifications (Must Haves) Active, unrestricted California medical license DEA license Double board certification: Diagnostic Radiology Pediatric Radiology BLS or ACLS certification Completion of an ACGME-accredited three-year Diagnostic Radiology residency Pediatric Radiology fellowship (required) Epic (Inpatient) experience required Experience: Minimum one year required Three or more years preferred Shift and Call DetailsDay Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (9-hour shift) Setting: Inpatient hospital EMR: Epic (Inpatient) Weekend Call (Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM) Covers pediatric inpatient and ER studies from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Case mix: Approximately 85% plain films 15% ultrasound, CT, and MR No nuclear medicine Average volume: 60-80 studies per day Responsibilities: Available for technologist questions Review of outside studies Perform urgent pediatric fluoroscopic procedures (non-interventional) After 6:00 PM: Covers inpatient film consults until StatRad assumes coverage at 11:00 PM May occasionally read ER studies late at night or be called in for procedures Weeknight Call (8:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Responsible for inpatient film consults from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM Available for emergent fluoroscopic procedures overnight Facility and Clinical Details Facility: Women's & Children's Hospital - Long Beach, CA Department: Single radiology department serving both hospitals Patient Population: Pediatric (all ages) Procedures: Pediatric fluoroscopic exams (non-interventional only) Technology: PACS and Epic EMR Support: Hospital-based team support Recruiter Summary Urgent short-term locums pediatric teleradiology assignment California license and double board certification required Day shifts with weekend and limited night call Epic inpatient experience required Opportunity for ongoing PRN coverage Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
