Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a vital caregiver to residents during their scheduled shifts in long-term care. Responsibilities include: Providing resident-centered nursing care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Documenting resident interactions, changes in condition, and participation in daily care routines. Providing psychosocial support and ensuring a positive dining experience during meal times. Assisting nursing staff with procedures and gathering vital signs. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in resident living areas. Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior experience in long-term care as a nursing assistant is preferred. CNA certification required within four months of joining the team, with training provided by the facility. Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain required continuing education credits.
