Job Summary: Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Phlebotomist Technician Specialist, playing a vital role in connecting our hospital laboratory with patients. In this position, you will efficiently collect blood, urine, and other specimens from inpatients and outpatients, adhering to strict aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards for clinical and diagnostic testing. Responsibilities: Perform blood and specimen collection with exceptional care and precision. Ensure efficient handling and processing of specimens for transportation to the laboratory. Proactively address any issues related to specimen collection and processing. Maintain accurate and detailed records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Support clerical duties, cleanliness, and inventory management as needed. Work collaboratively under the guidance of experienced Laboratory Supervisors and Directors. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy certification program. Must be registered or eligible with NPA/NCA/ASPT/AMT/ASCP and successfully pass certification within one year of hire. Preferred: One year of prior phlebotomy experience. Medical Assistants may not require a phlebotomy certification if included in their curriculum, but certification must be maintained yearly. This part-time, non-benefit eligible position offers flexible start times across day and evening shifts.
