Summary: As a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the efficient organization of surgical schedules. You will ensure that patients receive timely access to surgical procedures while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities: Utilize computerized scheduling programs to set up inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times. Work closely with physicians and healthcare team members to confirm the availability of facilities, surgeons, staff, and equipment. Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide essential pre-procedure instructions and confirm surgery appointments. Perform insurance verifications and pre-authorizations as required. Exercise critical thinking skills and decisive judgment, working efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
