Remote Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am ET - 5:00pm ET About the Role As a Medical Documentation Specialist, your main responsibility will be to ensure that all necessary medical documentation is accurate and complete, enabling patient orders to proceed smoothly. You will actively engage with healthcare providers, follow up diligently, and work with insurance agencies to secure timely shipping and delivery of medical equipment. Understand and apply financial processes, systems, controls, and workflows effectively. Familiarity with service level objectives and their importance. Effectively handle non-standard requests from vendors and customers. Showcase strong organizational skills while prioritizing tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities Communicate with physicians through calls, addressing clinical prescribing questions, validating diagnoses, resolving outbound faxes, and more. Review and follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medical documentation. Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in every task. Manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Meet productivity goals while maintaining high-quality standards. Embody and promote the company's culture and values, ensuring exceptional service for all customers. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. Basic mathematical skills are preferred. Experience in the medical and healthcare field is preferred. Previous call center experience is preferred.
