Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the activities of the distribution center's Maintenance staff. You will maintain the acceptable performance of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment associated with production equipment, material handling equipment and Fleet vehicles. Additional responsibilities include managing all special projects, and special event support.
Where You'll Work
- This role is onsite and will require you to work nights from our Piney Flats, TN fulfillment center. You will report to our Maintenance Manager. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- You will plan, schedule, lead and direct maintenance staff and contractors to ensure efficient operation and minimal equipment downtime.
- Help manage department budgets, labor, and overtime within cost-effective guidelines.
- Service all PIT equipment and working knowledge of pulleys, drives, conveyors and service of and maintenance of yard jockey trailers.
- Oversee personnel development, including hiring, training, evaluations, and coaching to grow department talent of 16 team members.
- You will review work orders for accuracy and completion against standards. Provide metrics and details to Facilities Manager. Assign work, including developing purchase orders, assets review for accuracy, and inventory management.
- You will support the Maintenance Manager in setting and achieving departmental goals, managing contracts, and being a backup when needed, including responding to emergencies on a 24‑hour, as‑needed basis
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or trade school degree with an industrial or manufacturing background.
- Over 5 years of mechanical trade experience, including 3+ years of proven leadership in a related environment.
- Strong labor management, decision-making, and electrical/mechanical skills.
