Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room: — You will provide direct patient care, adhering to the Registered Nurse Practice Act. — Utilize effective communication skills in your daily practice, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. — Assess and identify individual nursing problems based on patient needs, planning care accordingly with an interdisciplinary approach. — Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care aligned with the hospital's mission and vision. — In the charge nurse role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring quality patient care delivery, and making appropriate staff assignments. Your Responsibilities: Monitor, document, and report on changes in patient conditions while maintaining accurate records. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, providing clear evaluations of patient conditions. Demonstrate knowledge of human development and the appropriate care for patients of all ages. Promote customer service initiatives to enhance the hospital experience. Utilize the nursing process for personalized patient care. Exhibit the ability to perform necessary technical skills and procedures. Qualifications Required: Active RN licensure by the TN Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of employment. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within six months. Minimum of one year of RN experience, with a preference for Emergency Room experience.
