SUMMARY The Home Dialysis Registered Nurse - Float RN is a vital role for individuals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in diverse settings. This position involves traveling to various U.S. Renal Care locations to offer comprehensive training and continuous support for patients utilizing home dialysis modalities, ensuring they receive outstanding care in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities: Engage in corporate initiatives aimed at improving patient care and expanding home dialysis services. Educate patients on the importance of timely and accurate orders for supplies, ensuring uninterrupted care. Oversee clinic and patient inventory, aligning it with patient prescriptions and facilitating prompt orders to prevent extra costs. Track and manage equipment, including retrieval as necessary. Monitor patient performance and implement strategies for improved outcomes. Conduct laboratory tests as needed, promptly communicating results and critical needs to healthcare providers. Administer medications and maintain thorough documentation of patient medication profiles. Provide education to patients and conduct follow-ups to reinforce understanding and compliance. Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards concerning home dialysis practices. Perform home assessments to improve care and address environmental concerns affecting patients. Document all nursing services, including training and communications, in the Electronic Medical Record to maintain continuity of care. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety measures diligently. Build collaborative relationships with healthcare teams and maintain open communication with patients. Qualifications: Current RN license valid in multiple states, with a commitment to renew as required. At least 12 months of nursing experience, including a minimum of 6 months in home modality settings. Willingness to travel to assignments throughout the U.S. CPR certification prior to patient care assignment. Ability to distinguish all primary colors. Successful completion of the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program is mandatory. Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills and ability to become proficient in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire. Must meet state practice requirements relevant to the assigned program.
