Job Summary and Qualifications As an Oncology RN, you will deliver outstanding clinical expertise and compassionate care to your patients. In this role, you will provide comprehensive cancer care services from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship. Our unit specializes in care for patients with hematological malignancies undergoing bone marrow transplants. Join our family-oriented team and unlock exciting career possibilities! Your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough nursing assessments to evaluate patient health status in compliance with care standards and disease-specific protocols. Planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to optimize outcomes and utilize resources effectively. Delivering direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed nursing staff when necessary, adhering to established policies. Providing age-appropriate education and emotional support, integrating patient and family teaching into the nursing practice. Administering specialized care including chemotherapy/biotherapy management, blood transfusions, handling central venous access devices, and performing bone marrow biopsies. Qualifications Needed: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hiring. Current RN (Registered Nurse) license. Registered Nurse Diploma. Completion of ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration.
