We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Massage Therapist to join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role focuses on enhancing patient well-being through therapeutic massage services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and support overall recovery. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personalized massage therapy treatments aligned with individual care plans. Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional health to tailor treatment approaches. Develop and implement customized massage therapy plans addressing specific patient needs and conditions. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and complementary wellness practices to improve overall health. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any contraindications or concerns. Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment by following all health and sterilization protocols. Manage communications effectively, including timely return of phone calls and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment. Education and Certification: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Valid and current massage therapy license or certification as per state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association. Completion or commitment to complete Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire. Experience and Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a massage therapy setting, preferably within a clinical or healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient-centered care and strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy standards.
