How you’ll make an impact:
The Vice President, Enterprise Planning, Portfolio & Technical Program Management is a senior executive leader accountable for enterprise-wide portfolio strategy, planning excellence, and delivery execution across Product and Technology.
This role owns the connection between business strategy, prioritized investment, and predictable execution. The VP establishes and governs the operating rhythms, frameworks, and decision forums that ensure SiriusXM’s highest-value initiatives are aligned to capacity, funding, technical feasibility, and Go-To-Market readiness.
In parallel, this leader builds and develops a world-class Technical Program Management organization that delivers execution confidence across the company’s most complex, cross-functional initiatives — including Automotive.
Operating as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, this role provides enterprise-level visibility into portfolio health, delivery risk, financial alignment, and capacity scenarios, while ensuring governance rigor and commercial impact at scale.
What you’ll do:
Enterprise Portfolio & Strategic Planning Leadership
Own the enterprise portfolio management function, connecting strategy to prioritized initiatives across Product and Technology.
Lead scenario modeling and capacity optimization to enable executive trade-off decisions across funding, timing, scope, and resourcing.
Establish and govern enterprise prioritization frameworks aligned to strategic intent, customer impact, and delivery feasibility.
Manage quarterly and annual planning cadences, ensuring capacity-aligned commitments and durable delivery confidence.
Provide executive-level portfolio visibility into sequencing, dependency risk, and delivery health.
Technical Program Management & Execution Excellence
Lead and develop a high-performing TPM organization, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
Own the predictability, orchestration, and execution confidence of enterprise-scale initiatives spanning multiple product domains and engineering platforms.
Establish disciplined program structures that align business strategy, product direction, and technical execution.
Translate complex technical realities into clear executive insights that enable confident decisions.
Automotive Technical Program Management Leadership
Lead Technical Program Management for Automotive, ensuring delivery alignment with OEM partner commitments and vehicle production timelines.
Orchestrate complex cross-functional programs spanning embedded systems, cloud services, subscription platforms, content delivery, and hardware integrations.
Align software release cadences with automotive manufacturing cycles, regulatory requirements, certification milestones, and field deployment constraints.
Partner closely with Automotive Engineering, Connected Vehicle Services, Product, OEM partners, and Operations to ensure in-vehicle launches meet quality, safety, compliance, and revenue targets.
Provide executive visibility into automotive delivery risk, field readiness, integration dependencies, and partner commitments.
Ensure that Automotive TPM practices integrate seamlessly with enterprise portfolio planning and financial governance frameworks.
Governance, Lifecycle & Operating Model Ownership
Define and govern enterprise-wide lifecycle frameworks across PDP, PDLC, SDLC, and program execution.
Lead cross-functional governance forums ensuring readiness standards are met prior to funding, development, or launch.
Ensure consistent application of portfolio and delivery standards across global teams.
Integrate planning, execution, and Go-To-Market readiness into a unified operating model.
Financial, Capacity & Compliance Oversight
Ensure portfolio plans align to approved funding models, financial guardrails, and audit requirements.
Uphold CapEx/OpEx, R&D tax credit, and timekeeping compliance standards across Product and Technology.
Partner with Finance to maintain transparency and accountability across investment planning and execution.
Connect delivery milestones to revenue events, partner commitments, and commercial outcomes.
Data Integrity, Tools & Executive Reporting
Own enterprise portfolio data integrity and tool governance.
Establish reporting standards that provide trusted, decision-ready executive insights.
Ensure planning systems accurately reflect capacity, priorities, dependencies, and delivery confidence.
Provide concise, credible reporting to SVP and C-suite audiences.
Serve as a senior escalation point to resolve cross-functional conflicts and unblock execution.
Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and execution rigor to increase delivery predictability, velocity, and transparency.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams to foster career growth and professional development.
Provide constructive feedback, conduct performance reviews, and guide team members in setting and achieving goals.
Build and maintain an inclusive, collaborative team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
15+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale portfolio management, program governance, and technical delivery across complex organizations.
15+ years of senior leadership experience with direct people management responsibility, including building and leading TPM teams.
Proven success operating at a VP level, influencing SVP and C-suite stakeholders.
Deep experience with capacity planning, scenario modeling, and investment prioritization.
Strong understanding of PDP, PDLC, SDLC, and large-scale delivery lifecycles.
Demonstrated success delivering complex programs across cloud platforms, distributed systems, consumer applications, and embedded or automotive environments.
Experience partnering with OEMs or managing automotive or connected device ecosystems strongly preferred.
Strong technical foundation, including familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS or equivalent) and hybrid architectures.
Exceptional executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with ambiguity, competing priorities, and constant change.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $228,000 to $335,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
