Summary About the Position: This position will be located in the Department of Psychiatry under Directorate of Behavioral Health, Naval Medical Center, San Diego CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Help Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses. Collect biopsychosocial information about patients through interview, case history, observation techniques, and other assessment methods. Analyze information collected to identify symptoms and develop treatment plan. Provide comprehensive social work services in the form of casework and case management by consulting on or developing discharge plans. Provide individual, family, and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults and children. Develop individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric diagnosis. Provide emergency on-call crisis management services for behavioral health cases and all other social work needs as designated by the section or department needs. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis. This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion. This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent to work on an intermittent or unscheduled, on-call basis This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. AND Licensure : A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
