Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional, compassionate care, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate patient documentation. This position requires adherence to nursing standards and legal regulations, fostering teamwork, and supporting continuous learning and development. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and protocols. Provide timely and accurate information to physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Document patient care, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission. Deliver direct patient care in compliance with legal and professional standards. Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and in-service training to promote a collaborative work environment. Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience of one year or more is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Current, unrestricted nursing license in the applicable state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles. Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to meet patient needs. Commitment to patient privacy and safety, adhering to HIPAA standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English. Competency in using technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, standing, walking, bending, and reaching as required by patient care duties. Work Schedule Part-time, 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour work week.
