Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Responsibilities Conduct interactive clinical assessments and develop treatment protocols, prescribe or recommend behavioral medications, and manage medication therapy. Provide behavioral and talk therapy to patients. Coordinate care with family members and skilled nursing facility staff. Collaborate with psychiatrists and work within an interdisciplinary team that includes PMHNPs, psychologists, clinical pharmacists, and physicians. Complete patient documentation in our Electronic Health Records system. Provide educational in-service sessions at facilities and participate in necessary staff meetings. Consult with facility staff on behavioral interventions and psychopharmacology, including writing appropriate medication orders. Engage in case reviews, consultations, and utilization reviews. Respond to urgent facility calls and facilitate problem resolution. Stay informed about telehealth issues and legislation. Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Qualifications Advanced practice nursing degree from an accredited institution. Valid PMHNP certification. Unrestricted license in at least one state where MTC Care provides services. DEA certificate. Able to meet the credentialing requirements of MTC Care and assigned facilities. Capable of becoming credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers as required. Experience in geriatric and/or psychiatric care preferred. Proficient in computer use including the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and MTC Care's Electronic Health Record system.
