Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, documentation, and communication with families and treatment team members. Main Responsibilities: Deliver speech therapy services according to individualized treatment plans and refer cases as necessary in accordance with Bureau of Early Intervention procedures. Conduct annual evaluations and biannual reviews of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) to assess the need for ongoing intervention and to formulate new goals. Prepare discharge reports to aid in the transition process as children age out of Early Intervention or at discharge from caseload. Communicate evaluation findings effectively to parents and other team members. Establish service frequency based on the IFSP and maintain accurate documentation of changes. Collaborate with other professionals through co-treatment and consultation to coordinate care. Create programs for home or community settings to support the child's developmental goals across various environments. Document assessments, treatment progress, and termination protocols thoroughly. Tailor treatment plans to fit the unique needs of each child. Provide guidance on augmentative communication devices and educate families on their use. Offer training and resources for parents and caregivers to carry over therapeutic techniques into daily routines. Supervise and mentor students as needed. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of provided services and individual therapy programs. Keep management informed about caseload dynamics and referral capacity. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Current State License NYSED Certification as Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Openness to work with medically fragile children for some preschool referrals Salary: Competitive pay range of $70.00 - $90.00 per hour with flexible working hours.
