Job Description A well-established outpatient pulmonary program in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide clinical support in a specialty pulmonary clinic. Position Highlights • Outpatient pulmonary specialty clinic • Part-time schedule: 2 days per week • Two clinic locations within the Baltimore area • No call responsibilities • Collaborative environment with supervising physician onsite • Established clinical support staff including nursing and medical assistants • EPIC electronic medical record system Schedule • Tuesdays: 1:00 PM 5:00 PM • Fridays: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM • Total: 8 hours per week This role is well suited for a provider looking to supplement an existing schedule or maintain a flexible work arrangement. Clinical Responsibilities • Evaluate and manage patients in a pulmonary specialty clinic • Provide care for urgent pulmonary visits and post-hospital follow-ups • Review discharge medications and assess treatment adherence • Coordinate care with supervising physicians and specialty nursing staff • Assess disease progression and clinical severity • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic testing as needed • Assist with outpatient treatment plans including medication adjustments • Evaluate oxygen therapy needs and adjust care plans accordingly • Document all patient encounters within the EPIC EMR system Minimum Qualifications • Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) • Active Maryland PA license in hand • Active, unrestricted DEA • Current BLS certification • Minimum 2 years of PA experience in one of the following: • Pulmonary medicine • Inpatient hospitalist medicine • ICU / critical care • Pulmonary clinic • Strong clinical decision making and collaborative practice skills Providers with inpatient pulmonary or critical care experience are encouraged to apply.
